Apple reveals its first folding iPhone Duo alongside the iPhone 18 Pro series, new smartwatches, and AirPods 5.

Apple has introduced its newest digital products to buyers across the world. The official showcase event, called Surprise and Shine, took place on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.

This major tech show marked a history making moment because it was the first big product presentation hosted under the leadership of the company’s new chief boss, John Ternus, who took over the top leadership position on September 1.

The product launch was broadcast live from the company’s main theater in California, United States, reaching millions of technology fans and buyers in Africa, Europe, Asia, and America.

Technology shops across major African cities are already preparing to order these new devices so local phone users can buy them when international shipments begin.

The main reason why the company built these new devices is to bring faster artificial intelligence tools, better camera lenses, and flexible folding screens to everyday users.

To make it easy for phone buyers to see everything that was released, here is a clear list of all the new products shown during the event:

1.iPhone Duo Foldable Phone: This is the company’s first phone that opens up like a small paper notebook. It features a large 7.6-inch inner screen for watching videos and doing work, and a smaller 5.4-inch outer screen for quick messages. The phone opens smoothly with almost no middle crease line and works with the Apple Pencil Pro stylus. It runs on the fast A20 Pro chip and uses a finger touch button on the side to unlock the device instead of face recognition. The starting price is set at $1,999, with store deliveries starting on October 23.

2.iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max: These top tier phones come with an upgraded 48-megapixel camera that has six moving laser blades inside the lens. These blades open wide in dark rooms and close tightly in bright sunlight to capture clean pictures. The battery life is significantly longer, giving up to 43 hours of continuous video watching. The phones come in black, silver, glacier, and a new deep red color called burgundy. The base Pro model starts at $1,199, while the larger Pro Max starts at $1,299, with pre-orders starting on September 12 and store deliveries on September 18.

3.Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4: These new smart wristwatches check the user’s heart pulse every five seconds to warn them about health issues. They also calculate a daily energy score to tell users when to rest or exercise. The rugged Ultra 4 model carries a battery that lasts up to 50 hours during outdoor trips. Prices start at $399 for the Series 12 and $799 for the Ultra 4, with both hitting stores on September 18.

4.AirPods 5 Earpieces: These updated wireless earpieces sit comfortably in the ear while blocking out half of all unwanted outside noises. They come with a small charging box that recharges the battery without plugging in wires. The standard version costs $129, while the model with a wireless charging box costs $149, with sales starting September 18.

5.Siri AI Assistant: The company updated its digital voice helper inside the new iOS 27 phone software to make it act like a real human. It reads information on the screen to help users answer messages and manage over 300,000 phone apps automatically starting September 14.

Explaining the company’s continuous drive to build top quality tools, new Chief Executive Officer John Ternus praised Apple’s “relentless pursuit of excellence.” Commenting on the strategic importance of entering the folding phone market, industry experts noted that while folding devices remain a smaller market by total volume, “it is a much larger slice of it by revenue, given how much more they cost than a standard flagship, meaning Apple doesn’t need to sell as many to make the category worthwhile.”

This massive product rollout brings exciting new technology options to digital creators, business owners, and phone users across the globe.

By introducing a folding screen phone alongside faster Pro devices and smart health watches, the company aims to make daily communication, health tracking, and digital work easier for millions of users.
