The Egyptian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) has successfully trained over 10,000 university students across the country in specialized, high-demand technology fields.
Egypt’s National Telecommunication Institute (NTI) and the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) have successfully graduated 10,485 university students from across the country’s 27 governorates who participated in the 2026 Summer Training Programme.
The initiative is designed to prepare young nationals for modern digital careers providing participants with 120 intensive hours of instruction spanning eight specialized technology fields.
The nationwide program focused on equipping students with practical, industry-ready capabilities. Of the total participants, nearly 3,800 enrolled in specialized courses offered through international technology academies, while about 1,200 advanced to higher-level training tracks.
To ensure students experienced real-world work environments, the curriculum included hands-on graduation projects and field visits to leading technology corporations, allowing young talents to explore professional career paths. Furthermore, graduates quickly turned their training into economic opportunities; the top 200 graduates collectively generated approximately $25,000 in freelance earnings shortly after completing the program.

The summer program forms a core part of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology’s wider strategy to expand national digital skills. By equipping youth with high-demand technical expertise, the initiative aims to enhance graduate employability and fuel Egypt’s growing digital economy.
