Orange Egypt has entered into a strategic partnership with Botim the leading ultra-app in the Middle East and North Africa to enable seamless direct digital remittances from the UAE to Egypt.
Orange Egypt has announced a strategic partnership with UAE-based fintech platform Botim to enable seamless, round-the-clock money transfers from the United Arab Emirates directly into Orange Cash digital wallets in Egypt.
The collaboration marks Botim’s first partnership with a mobile network operator in Egypt, reinforcing its remittance infrastructure across one of its most active international financial corridors.
With over two million Egyptian expatriates utilizing Botim in the UAE, the alliance connects an established diaspora community directly to Orange Cash’s expansive network of approximately 10 million users in Egypt.
The integration streamlines the traditional remittance process by allowing senders in the UAE to execute transfers instantly via their mobile devices. Recipients in Egypt receive funds directly into their digital wallets, giving them immediate secure access to money that can be used for everyday expenses, utility payments, commercial purchases or cash withdrawals across a vast nationwide network of over 300,000 points including ATMs, Orange retail stores and authorized merchants.

Hesham Sherif, Vice President of Consumer Payments and Wealth at Botim emphasized the goal of removing international payment barriers by saying
“Digital wallets have transformed how people move money, yet they remain largely disconnected across borders. This fragmentation limits their potential to make international remittances more accessible and affordable. At Botim, we’re working to bridge that gap by building a network that connects users in the UAE directly to their families preferred digital wallets back home. Egypt is already among our top five remittance corridors and partnering with Orange Cash, with its established reach in the market which will bring us one step closer to making cross-border transfers as seamless as domestic payments.”
The partnership builds on Orange Egypt’s broader mission to expand the utility of its digital financial services and support national financial inclusion goals. By linking Botim’s regional fintech ecosystem with Orange Cash’s extensive telecommunications infrastructure, the collaboration makes international money transfers faster, safer and more accessible for families managing cross-border finances.
