The MTN Uganda Foundation has graduated 407 trainees from its digital and financial literacy program in Northern Uganda advancing efforts to expand economic opportunities and promote digital inclusion across the region.

Delivered in partnership with the Maendeleo Foundation, the training forms part of the sixth phase of MTN’s nationwide literacy initiative. The program equips participants with essential digital skills helping young people and local entrepreneurs navigate internet tools, adopt mobile financial services and explore new income opportunities.

The curriculum focuses on foundational computer literacy, internet navigation, online safety and financial management using mobile money tools.

By bringing mobile internet facilities and structured training modules directly to local communities, the initiative bridges the gap for individuals who lack regular access to digital hardware and structured learning environments. Participants gain practical experience using internet-connected devices, enabling them to handle digital transactions, access online educational materials and streamline small business operations.
