Apple introduces the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max with upgraded cameras and new AI tools ahead of September 12 pre orders.
Apple has officially shown its latest high-end mobile phones, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, to phone lovers worldwide. Apple officially released these top tier devices on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
The company announced that people who want to buy the new mobile phones can begin placing advance orders starting Saturday, September 12, 2026, while official store deliveries and shop sales will begin 6 days later.
The big product launch took place during a special public show called “Surprise and Shine” organized at the company’s main headquarters in California, United States.
Millions of technology fans, business owners, and phone buyers across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas watched the official presentation online.
Phone sellers in major African cities are already preparing to import the new devices shortly after global store sales start.
The main reason why the technology company created these upgraded mobile devices is to give users stronger cameras, longer battery life, and smarter artificial intelligence capabilities.
The new phones come powered by an advanced A20 Pro computer chip that prevents freezing and overheating during heavy daily work.
The company also added a new dark red color option called burgundy, replaced old orange finishes, and redesigned the internal battery so users can watch videos for up to forty-five hours without needing a power socket.
In addition to longer battery performance, the company built a flexible camera lens system that uses six tiny moving blades inside the main camera sensor.

This special mechanism acts like a human eye, opening wide in dark places to capture more light and narrowing in bright sunshine to keep pictures clear.
The phone also runs on updated software called iOS 27, which includes an upgraded digital voice assistant named Siri AI that can read information on the screen to help users answer messages and manage daily tasks automatically.
Explaining the major achievements built into the new mobile series, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, Greg Joswiak, stated, “With iPhone 18 Pro, we’ve made advancements to the areas our users care about most: camera, performance, battery, and intelligence. And we didn’t just make incremental improvements in these areas; we took huge leaps forward to create the best Pro iPhone we’ve ever made.”
Highlighting the extra creative freedom given to picture takers and video makers, he added, “iPhone 18 Pro makes it easy for anyone to capture stunning photos and videos using variable aperture, while providing more versatility for creators and more control for pros.”
This major product release marks an exciting milestone for everyday mobile phone users, digital creators, and business workers across the globe.
With starting retail prices set at$1,199 for the base Pro model and $1,299 for the larger Pro Max version, the new devices offer powerful digital tools to help people capture memories, run daily businesses, and communicate smoothly.
