Pan-African pre-seed investment program Madica has expanded its portfolio by backing five new tech-enabled startups across Algeria, Cameroon and key regional hubs.

Madica, a sector-agnostic venture capital firm backed by global fintech investor Flourish Ventures has announced investments in five new African tech startups expanding its footprint into new markets including Algeria and Cameroon.

The five selected companies ChipMango, Talenteo, Paysika, Bekia and Delta Oil represent a wide range of industries spanning financial technology, recruitment, waste management, e-commerce and industrial solutions.

The new wave of funding reflects Madica’s commitment to backing early-stage founders operating outside Africa’s dominant startup markets of Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa and Egypt. By cutting check sizes of up to $200,000 for each venture, the firm aims to bridge the persistent funding gap for talented entrepreneurs in underfunded regions.

The investments mark Madica’s first official entries into Francophone and North African markets like Cameroon and Algeria, highlighting growing venture capital interest in emerging startup ecosystems across the continent.

Each of the five portfolio additions addresses distinct operational or consumer challenges in their respective domestic markets.

Paysika in Cameroon operates as a digital banking platform designed to expand financial inclusion across Francophone Africa by offering accessible debit cards and mobile financial services to unbanked populations.

In Algeria, Talenteo functions as an automated recruitment platform that connects North African talent with domestic and regional employers through streamlined hiring tools while Egypt-based Bekia offers a digital waste management and recycling system where households and businesses can exchange recyclable waste for financial rewards or consumer goods.

Rounding out the cohort, ChipMango and Delta Oil provide specialized platforms delivering tech-driven operational tools, supply chain optimizations and commerce solutions tailored for retail and industrial merchants.

In addition to direct capital injections, Madica provides its portfolio companies with tailored mentorship, executive coaching, pitch training and access to Flourish Ventures’ broader global network.

Firm leaders emphasized that providing early-stage startups with hands-on operational guidance is critical to helping local founders build scalable, sustainable businesses capable of attracting follow-on funding from international investors.
