Ericsson Launches NetCloud Private for Enterprise Wireless WAN

tech news

Ericsson has launched NetCloud Private, a cloud-managed enterprise solution designed to deliver secure customer-controlled Wireless Wide Area Network (WAN) management.

Global telecommunications equipment provider Ericsson has launched NetCloud Private Wireless an enterprise-grade solution designed to simplify the deployment, management and scaling of private cellular networks for businesses worldwide.

The new offering integrates private 4G and 5G connectivity with cloud-managed networking tools, allowing enterprises across industrial, logistics and critical infrastructure sectors to manage wide-area wireless networks through a single, unified interface.

As corporate operations become increasingly automated, traditional Wi-Fi and wired systems often struggle to deliver the coverage, security and low latency required for mission-critical applications. Private cellular networks solve these challenges, but their deployment and day-to-day management have historically required specialized telecommunications expertise.

Ericsson’s NetCloud Private Wireless addresses this operational barrier by combining robust wireless infrastructure with cloud-native management tools acquired through its Cradlepoint business.

The integrated platform allows enterprise IT teams to configure, monitor and secure private cellular connections across dispersed operational sites such as manufacturing plants, ports, mines and distribution center using familiar IT workflows and centralized dashboards.

The solution offers multi-site management capabilities, enabling organizations to enforce unified security policies, automate network performance optimizations and monitor connected devices in real time. Built-in zero-trust security architecture ensures that sensitive operational data remains protected across both local on-premises environments and cloud connections.

Industry analysts note that simplifying private wireless administration is crucial as businesses accelerate their adoption of autonomous machinery, Internet of Things (IoT) sensors and real-time analytics. By streamlining network operations, Ericsson aims to lower the barrier to entry for enterprise 5G, helping businesses improve operational efficiency, safety, and productivity.
