Apple TV lands officially in Nigeria for 1,300 naira per month, bundled together with 50GB iCloud storage and Apple Arcade games.

Apple has officially launched its movie streaming service, Apple TV, in Nigeria for a low monthly price of N1,300. The official service rollout started in September 2026, opening direct access to millions of movie lovers across the country after nearly seven years of waiting.

This new movie service comes bundled directly inside the basic 50GB storage package called iCloud+, which many iPhone owners in Nigeria already pay for every thirty days to save photos and videos.

Instead of asking people to buy a separate expensive movie subscription during a tough economy, Apple simply added Apple TV and its gaming service, Apple Arcade, into the exact same monthly bill.

People can watch films and play games on iPhones, iPads, Mac computers, Android devices, smart televisions, and web browsers.

By bringing this affordable entertainment bundle to Nigeria, Apple aims to give every household easy access to award-winning global movies, series, and online video games.

Before now, people living in Nigeria who wanted to watch original shows produced by Apple had to use secret computer workarounds, internet location changers, or foreign bank cards. Bringing the service locally allows users to pay easily in naira without stress.

Explaining the main idea behind this big move across global markets, Eddy Cue, who is Apple’s Senior Vice President of Services and Health, described the expansion as a way of bringing users “the absolute best in original storytelling” alongside cloud storage and gaming.

The new bundle gives users three major benefits in a single 1,300 naira monthly payment. First, subscribers get 50GB of private online phone space to back up personal family pictures and important documents.

Second, users get full access to watch popular international movies, documentaries, and hit drama series. Third, the package unlocks Apple Arcade, which features over 200 ad-free video games for children and adults.

Up to six family members can share one subscription through family settings without paying extra money.

This pricing strategy gives Apple a strong advantage over other movie apps in the market. While competing platforms charge between N2,500 and over N8,000 every month, Apple keeps its entry price very low at N1,300.

Even though Apple TV carries mainly foreign shows rather than local Nollywood cinema, joining movie streaming with essential phone storage makes it a very smart choice for everyday Nigerian households looking to save money.
