Talent Nation, an innovative AI engineering talent development company, has successfully secured a pre-seed funding round from a consortium of prominent investors to scale up its mission of training the next generation of artificial intelligence professionals across Africa.
The financial backing was provided by notable investors including Enza Capital, LocalGlobe, Future Africa, Kaleo Ventures, Ajim Capital, Solving the World’s Greatest Problems, and Accelerate Africa, though the exact financial figures were not disclosed.
With global demand for artificial intelligence expertise skyrocketing, Talent Nation aims to bridge the critical gap between emerging tech talent and global employment opportunities. The platform’s unique training model emphasizes hands-on, practical project execution rather than traditional theory.

The initiative has already captured massive interest across the continent, driven by high demand with over 63,000 applicants applying to join the competitive program. Approximately 1,400 fellows are currently undergoing rigorous training across nine physical campuses as part of this momentum. Looking ahead, the company has set an ambitious 10-year goal to train one million AI engineers in Africa over the coming decade, preparing them to build successful careers with companies worldwide.
The newly acquired pre-seed capital will be used to expand Talent Nation’s operational footprint, refine its practical training framework, and prepare more young professionals to meet the surging global need for skilled artificial intelligence engineers.
