Yas Comores is actively driving rural financial inclusion through its innovative Dima Na Ulozi project.

Yas Comores has renewed its commitment to expanding financial and digital inclusion across rural communities in the Comoros by supporting the ongoing Dima Na Ulozi project.

The initiative is spearheaded by the Maesha Espoir association and the Chamber of Agriculture, bringing together community, public, and private partners including support from the French Embassy to create sustainable economic opportunities for agricultural and rural populations.

The project has gained significant momentum by leveraging mobile technology to bridge the banking gap. Through the collaborative backing of Yas Comores, MVOLA Comores, and Telco Finance (operating under the AXIAN Group) participating community members can access essential financial and digital services directly from their mobile phones.

The impact of the initiative is already tangible across local communities, driven by several key milestones including a rapidly growing membership that has successfully attracted more than 2,100 members with recent outreach events in Anjouan alone welcoming nearly 300 new participants, impressive mobilized savings where beneficiaries have collectively secured over KMF 10 million in local savings demonstrating strong community trust and financial participation and vital institutional backing following a formal sponsorship signing backed by Daniel Bandari, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Handicrafts of the Union of the Comores, which ensures smoother coordination with public services and agricultural stakeholders.

By integrating mobile financial services into everyday agricultural practices, the Dima Na Ulozi project provides rural citizens with secure ways to save money, manage funds, and participate in the modern digital economy. Yas Comores emphasized that backing such community-focused initiatives is central to its broader mission of closing the digital divide and fostering inclusive economic growth throughout the region.
