Investment program Madica secured $6 million from Flourish Ventures to support early-stage technology startups across Africa.

Venture investment initiative Madica has officially secured $6 million in fresh capital to expand its funding program for early-stage technology startups across Africa.

The major financial investment announcement was publicly published on October 28, 2026, marking an exciting new chapter for technology entrepreneurship on the continent.

Under this new financial backing agreement, Flourish Ventures provided the $6 million to extend the investment program for another 3 years.

The fresh capital will be used to fund between twenty-five and thirty new early-stage startup companies operating in various sectors across different African nations.

Since launching in 2022, the program has successfully invested in eighteen startup companies spread across ten countries and twelve different industries, providing vital cash and expert business guidance to young founders.

The initiative specifically targets brilliant entrepreneurs who often struggle to raise money from traditional venture capitalists because they operate outside major tech hubs or lack connected networks.

To qualify for funding, startup founders must have a working product with active paying customers, work full-time on their business projects, and keep their company headquarters in Africa.

Providing financial grants and business training to young local entrepreneurs is very important for everyday families, local job seekers, and communities across Africa.

In many developing towns and cities, talented young people build clever mobile apps and digital tools to solve local problems like farming waste, school learning gaps, and small business payments, but they cannot find money to grow their ideas.

When dedicated investment funds provide early financial support and teach founders how to run successful businesses, ordinary young people can build lasting companies that create good jobs for their neighbors.

Supporting local technology creators helps communities grow and brings useful digital services to everyday citizens.

Reassuring aspiring entrepreneurs that the extended funding program will continue searching for brilliant ideas outside major capital cities, the program leadership emphasized their long-term vision.

Pointing out that proper financial backing unlocks massive potential across developing markets, Emmanuel Adegboye added that “Flourish Ventures’ continued commitment gives us the capital to build on those lessons and test our conviction across a broader portfolio while deepening our company-building support”.

Entrepreneurs across the continent are preparing applications for the upcoming funding cycle. As Madica opens its doors to a new batch of innovative startups, young African tech founders look forward to turning their creative ideas into successful businesses.
