Liwa University and AIJRF Partner on Agentic AI in Higher Education

Artificial Intelligence

Liwa University has entered into a strategic partnership with the Arab Institute for Journalism and Rule of Law (AIJRF) to integrate agentic artificial intelligence into higher education curricula.

Liwa University has signed a strategic research and academic agreement with the Artificial Intelligence Journalism for Research and Forecasting (AIJRF) to introduce advanced “Agentic AI” technologies into university curricula and scientific research.

The partnership marks a significant shift from traditional generative AI tools toward building intelligent academic ecosystems where faculty and researchers lead collaborative teams of specialized AI agents.

As artificial intelligence rapidly transforms educational landscapes, the collaboration aims to equip university professors, researchers, and students with the practical skills needed to design, deploy and manage autonomous AI agents. These intelligent systems are capable of performing complex tasks, coordinating with one another and assisting with curriculum design, data analysis, and project management under human supervision.

Professor Mohamed Mahjoub Dhiaf the President of Liwa University noted that

“We are entering a new phase in the development of higher education, one that goes beyond using AI tools in teaching and scientific research to designing specialized AI agents capable of assisting faculty members, researchers and students in performing a wide range of academic and research tasks. Through this partnership, we look forward to developing practical educational applications that enhance the quality of learning outcomes, open new opportunities for research and innovation and prepare our graduates to work in professional environments that combine human capabilities with intelligent technologies.”

Dr. Mohamed Abdulzaher, CEO of AIJRF, emphasized the evolution of academic workflows saying:

“We are witnessing a fundamental transformation in the future of higher education, in which professors and researchers are moving beyond simply using AI tools to leading integrated teams of AI agents. These agents will support curriculum design, educational content development, learning outcome analysis, the management of certain stages of scientific research and the development of academic projects. Our goal is to enable universities to build intelligent educational and research ecosystems led by human expertise and supported by the capabilities of Agentic AI.”

To ensure comprehensive integration across disciplines, the partnership focuses on deploying tailored AI applications and multi-agent systems across five specialized academic sectors including Media and Communication (utilizing intelligent agents for multimedia content creation, audience trend analysis, fact-checking and digital platform management) Social Sciences and Humanities (deploying AI agents to analyze social datasets, support survey research, examine behavioral trends, and model societal shifts) Medical and Health Sciences (supporting medical training simulations, research data analysis and health education content development with strict data protection safeguards) Business Administration (applying multi-agent systems to market analysis, intelligent marketing, strategic planning, feasibility studies and financial performance evaluation) and Scientific Research and Academic Publishing (designing specialized research agents to navigate scientific literature, organize references, process datasets and support manuscript preparation in line with academic integrity standards).

Beyond classroom applications, the agreement establishes Liwa University’s membership in the Arab Index for Artificial Intelligence in Universities, reinforcing regional collaboration and tracking technological adoption in higher education.

The initiative will also introduce specialized hands-on workshops, multi-agent system training and tailored academic development programs such as foundations in AI integration ensuring that students and educators are fully equipped to thrive in a technology-driven professional future.
